SARAH Murdoch says reports in New Idea

SARAH Murdoch says reports in New Idea this week that she was pregnant were upsetting and untrue.

Murdoch, who is readying herself for her major TV hosting debut on Australia
s Next Top Model, says she was shocked when photographs of her enjoying time out with her husband Lachlan were splashed inside New Idea claiming she was pregnant.

Looking relaxed after taking a dip at their local Bronte beach, Murdoch says she told a journalist at New Idea she was not pregnant, but they chose to run with the story anyway.

The photographs were taken the morning after the pair celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary.

I am so not pregnant, says Murdoch.

We
just went for a swim and I had the biggest towel wrapped around my
waist. The journalist rang and I told them I was definitely not
pregnant.

It
s upsetting because we would like to have
another child and I think everyone knows that, but doni?1t put it out
there if we are not.
Murdoch says the happy couple plan to add at least one or two more
children to their clan which already includes four-year-old Kalan and
Aidan, two.

It doesn
t always happen when you want it, so we will see, she says.

We
would like three or four. We love it (parenthood). They say you have to
be ready for it and I had such a great life before kids thati?1s why I
dont want anything to take over from being a mum.

The New Idea
story came just one week after the magazine apologised to Bec and
Lleyton Hewitt for running a cover story implying Bec was seeing a new
man - who was actually her brother.

Mentoring aspiring models on the fifth season of Foxtel reality program Australias Next Top Model has been a dream job for Murdoch, who says she can relate to the anxiety the girls feel because shes been in their position.

For
the first few years of her modelling career Murdoch admits she was so
self-conscious she asked for a box to be put around her head while at
photo shoots.

For years, and I am not exaggerating, I had to
have this black boarder around me and the photographer so that no one
else could watch me, I was so self-conscious, she says.

I
just had no confidence at all and was so embarrassed and thought I
looked like an idiot. I couldn
t model. I was the world
s worst model I
don
t know how I kept going.

While all the bitchiness of Australia
s Next Top Model
will return when the program premieres on Foxtel on April 28, Murdoch
says one of her main focuses when signing on was not to repeat last
year
s incidents, which included bullying inside the house.

We had girls coming to the auditions saying,
I am really good at being the bitch,
she says.

I
am not into that reality type of thing. I said from the beginning I
didn
t want 16-year-olds put in positions where they are going to be
bullied, so we have really come down hard on that this year.
